If you find yourself in South Pasadena, Mamma's Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta is an absolute must-visit for pizza enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Nestled at 1007 Fair Oaks Ave, this charming pizza restaurant stands out not only for its delectable offerings but also for its warm and inviting atmosphere.

Mamma’s specializes in authentic New York-style pizza, and their **Manhattan pizza** is a showstopper, topped with savory pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatballs, and crispy bacon. For those who relish a more classic flavor, the **Margherita** pizza with fresh mozzarella, fragrant basil, and zesty margherita sauce is a slice of heaven. The **White pizza**, draped in velvety ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh garlic, proves to be a delightful departure from the traditional red sauce options.

The dining experience at Mamma's is filled with the aromas of freshly baked pies and a palpable sense of community. The interior offers a spacious layout with plenty of seating, making it ideal for both cozy dinners and lively gatherings. If you prefer the outdoors, there’s outdoor seating where you can savor your meal while enjoying the pleasant California weather.

Start your meal with the **toasted cheese ravioli** or the fan-favorite **golden fried chicken wings**, lightly battered to achieve the perfect crunch. Customers rave about the **garlic knots**, which come soft, buttery, and ready to be dipped in marinara sauce—definitely a must-try for your first visit.

Beside the impressive pizza menu, the drink selection is abundant, catering to various tastes. Pair your meal with a refreshing beer from their unique selection, like the popular mango beer, which offers a delightful contrast to the rich flavors of the pizzas.

Real customers have echoed their enthusiasm about Mamma's — Eric Lao notes how the NY-style slices are not only generous but brimming with flavor, while Stephanie praises the freshness of the dishes. Another devotee, Tim McMullen, shares that since discovering Mamma's, he can’t envision eating elsewhere, declaring it a superior choice compared to other local options.

In short, Mamma's Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta isn't just about a meal; it's a flavor-packed journey that celebrates traditional Italian cuisine with a local twist. Whether you’re popping in for a quick slice or planning a dinner with family, Mamma's welcomes you with open arms and an irresistible menu that ensures you'll want to return again and again.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick bite and ended up loving everything — this place totally exceeded expectations! The NY-style slices were HUGE, crispy on the bottom, and packed with flavor. The BBQ chicken pizza was smoky and sweet, while the Hawaiian had the perfect balance of savory ham and juicy pineapple. The garlic knots were soft, buttery, and came with a tasty marinara dip — a must-order side! Plus, the self-pour beer wall is such a fun touch. Easy to sample, chill, and enjoy at your own pace. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and for the portion size and quality, it was seriously a great deal. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Once we discovered their sicilian style pizza Mamma’s has become our go to pizza spot. Great garlic knots and fried mozzarella apps! We usually go with pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. However, the white pizza is a great flavor to mix it up if you’re not craving red sauce.

Busy local joint serving New York style pizza. Thin and crispy crust, very flavorful. Pizza orders come with garlic knots. Would recommend ordering ahead online for pickup. Got the sunny side up pizza—egg yolk was delicious on top. Solid pizza choice if a bit greasy. Would definitely come back.

Good place if you craving some good pizza. Also have a lot of sides to choose from. Wings, sandwiches, salad, calamari etc. I personally love the white pizza, the pizza has a bit of sweet taste to it which is very unique. The wings is also great, especially the plain one the batter they use is very flavorful. Would definitely go again

Their pizza is some of the best on the east side. It is also excellent from the fridge the next day. The chicken wings are also a hit in my family. The garlic knots were OK. I’m still waiting to try their pasta.

Great pizza. It’s our first time here and we got the Manhattan pizza with a side of garlic knots. All food feels freshly made (careful it’s hot!) with great flavor. They have a variety of beer selection as well. I got the mango beer and it was a perfect fresh beer for this summer weather. Place is pretty spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We’ll be back again and we’ll try more things they have on their menu.

Some people have really strong opinions on pizza, similar to those who have strong opinions about bagels. I would place myself at mild to moderately opinionated on the topic. I used to eat at blaze across the street, and then Mama’s moved in from its prior location up the street. Now blaze tastes like trash to me. I have fully converted to Mama’s and you can’t change me. It’s a solid slice of pizza. It has all the things you would love in a reliable slice. Thin crispy crust, a sauce that doesn’t try to steal the show, cheese. The toppings are on top where they’re supposed to be. They have a lot of beer. It’s probably good if you like beer. The only complaint I have is that once i called to place an order and i had to listen to the pre-recorded message with a person spelling out the website. Noting feels more like a slow death than someone spelling out a website. But that’s irrelevant and has more to do about me than about pizza. Go to Mama’s pizza because it’s pizza that belongs to Mama. Go to Mama’s pizza because it’s better than Dominos, who strays further away from God every passing year. I really like the Margherita, it’s got a lot of garlic. I had the mushroom once and I was like “woah, this a lot of mushrooms.” You’d prop love it if you’re into mushrooms.
